Once upon a time, there was a country called Barneyville. It was well-known for its local chocolate chip cookies which contributed almost 59.84322% of the National Gross Products (GDP). Their chocolate chip cookies were the best in the whole wide world. The ingredients, flour, sugar, eggs and chocolate chips were locally produced. They even had several farms for poultry farming, that specializing in farming chicken for their eggs. The high quality of the ingredients blend together with the original recipe of this chocolate chips cookies making, had been the key success to the cookies.

                Mr. Purple Barney was the President of the Barneyville’s Chocolate Chip Cookies company. He was responsible in handling all the exports of the cookies and the local business. Barneyville citizens were so rich that their homes were built out of gold coins. They too, lived in peace and harmony.

                One day, a catastrophe hit Barneyville. There were several cookie monsters at Mr. Barney’ Factory A. These monsters ate so much of the cookies and destroyed Mr. Barney’s factory. Mr. Barney used a special super gun to kill these monsters. But that super gun could only kill a certain amount of monsters at a time. The equation is x-y. X represents the super gun shot, and y represents the number of cookie monsters left.

                After the first shot, the remaining cookies monsters attacked Mr. Barney’s Factory B. Now the number of cookie monsters was doubled. Mr. Barney was shocked to see the number doubled everytime the cookie monsters were shot.  There was 2x-2y of cookie monters. Again, a shot was released and the remaining was 2x-2y-y=2x-3y.

                The number tripled, and they soon attacked Factory C.  Cookie monsters were 6x-9y in number. After the third shot, the remaining amount of cookie monsters was 6x-9y-y=6x-10y.

                The remaining of cookie monsters quadrupled to 24x-40y. Finally, after the forth shot,

(24x-40y-y=24x-41y), the monsters were all killed. This gives us one equation to solve. 24x-41y=0.

24x-41y =0

24x=41y

24/41 = y/x

Thus, 24=y and 41=x.

Substitute the value of x and y into the first equation followed by the following equation,  24(41)-41(24)=0

 

Barneyville was successfully free from the monsters AND EVERYONE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER =D
