The use of Excel especially for the accountants is fantastic! Just by putting in some formula, it makes the analysis way easier. I was glad to have the opportunity to learn this. :)
Today our task was to use Microsoft Excel again and we were taught how to insert a new formula for the table. This class was helpful as I now know how to save time calculating data.
learnt how to use the "if" formula(conditional statement)in class today. It was something new as i have never really make use of excel in completing my task before
I've learned how to classify numbers in a very practical way by using Excel ! Thanks Dr Ravi ! how lucky I am to have a teacher like u :))))))))
Today I have learned how to use excel formula for true and false statement. It will be very useful when we need to analyse numerous statistical data.
Example of the formula :
=IF(B2>65,"OLDER ADULT",IF(B2>29,"ADULT",IF(B2>19,"YOUNG ADULT",IF(B2>12,"TEEN",IF(B2>5,"CHILD",IF(B2>1,"SMALL CHILD"))))))
=IF(F2>350,"excellent",IF(F2>300,"good",IF(F2>250,"pass")))
this was the formula that i used today. I've learnt how to use excel and the formula box to determine for me the grades or levels of my data
We continued to learn the usage of formulas in Excel. Today, we constructed a formula of conditions. An example is this. =IF(B2>80,"A",IF(B2>60,"B",IF(B2>50,"C",IF(B2>40,"D")))) This may be useful in the future for statistical reasons.
today we learnt a little bit more on excell which is using the 'conditional statement'
the formula is basically ---> =IF(B2>50,"pass","fail") etc
to use multiple conditionioning, we do something like this ---> =IF(B2<30,"D", IF(B2<70,"C", IF(B2<80,"B", IF(B2<101,"A"))))
Okay, my class today have learned to categorize data according to a set of ranges we set. What's awesome is that we just key in the necessary format. For eg, [ =IF(B2<50,"fail",IF(B2<70,"B",IF(B2<90,"A",IF(B2<100,"A*")))) ] and the excel will do the rest for us. Life is made easy with Excel =D
Class task:
A:MORTGAGE.XLS
EXCEL EXERCISE
Today's class assignment. Very useful for future Accountants.
