ICT Jan 2013 batch

Dear ICT students of Jan 2013 batch under Dr.Ravichandran, I welcome you all this Web portal, which you will be using for your entire course. This http://as-computing.ning portal is were you will have to upload / post all the classroom based activities.

The CIE ICT task will have to be handed to be in person at the end of each CIE task class and the question paper/ CIE folder should not be take with you under any circumstances. That is, the folder should be given to me after your use in class once you complete your Cie task for that particular class.

For further doubts and queries please contact me or you can even send a message using this Web portal.

FROM NOW ON YOU WILL USE THIS WEB PORTAL. AND REMEMBER TO POST ONLY IN THE FORUM NAMED ICT JAN 2013 BATCH. NOT ON OTHER FORUMS WHICH IS MEANT FOR OTHER BATCHES.

Yesterday Mr Ravi taught us how to use Team Viewer. It is a computer software that allows computer users in different locations to share files among each other. To connect to another computer just run Team Viewer on both machines without installation procedure. Just enter your partner´s ID into Team Viewer and the connection is established immediately.
Besides Team Viewer, we were also asked to check out www.visuwords.com. That is a website of an online graphical dictionary which I find is very interesting and also a new thing to me.

Yesterday we learnt how to use team viewer to try to control other computers. It was fun and annoying with my friend controlling my computing I was not able to do what I wanted to do. This program is really convenient and useful because in the future if I need to get a file out of the computer in my house I don't have to go home just to get that particular file. Also, I don't have to bring my laptop everywhere I go just because the work I'm working on is in the laptop. I can do it wherever I want and worry about getting the file later. Of course, I will have to download the software and jot down the password and pin number of the software first. We also learnt a new on-line dictionary website. There is nothing much to it just that it will come in handy the next time I need an explanation for a certain word if I don't happen to have a big dictionary beside me.

Hi guys, I learnt about how to use TeamViewer from my previous ICT class. It's so cool! It's like you hack another computer. Basically, we learnt to control another computer in order to do file transfer between computers. You also can do online meeting in case you cannot attend an important meeting. It's very powerful tool that you should have.

So, we learnt how to use Team Viewer to control other computers yesterday. It's a MAGIC tool!
All you need to do in order to control the other computer is just simply download the software and then enter the ID and password of that particular computer which are provided by the software. By doing so, you can either remote control the computer or share documents from it.
So, next time, you don't have to worry about forgetting to save any files needed in a thumb drive, and also you can share your documents with your friends no matter where they are. ;D

Hello buddies!

I would like to share with you a little bit about what I had learnt yesterday which is Team Viewer. Frankly speaking I heard about this for the first time in my life. What I can say after exploring it, it is a such powerful tool for us in general but for students and professional workers in particular to get to use it. Actually the main function of this helpful tool based on my understanding and experiences is to help at least two people make a conversation or presentation. Honestly it is very helping me to face university life.

Teamviewer. A great software that enables us to ethically hack another computer. Not conventional hacking - Teamviewer allows us to hack the other computer only with consent. Both computers require the software.. Next time i forget to bring something, i'll just call my sister.
