We had 8 inch floppy , 5 and a quarter inch floppy and 3 inch floppy. Out of all these 3 sizes, only 3 inch floppy is used now a days and that too very rarely. This is because, after the flash drive /thumb drive were introduced to the market. The craze for floppy disk dropped down.

i wonder how the reader/writer looks like? is it big as the floppy? external reader/writer? or internal? (embedded in CPU as of today's)

A question if I may. For the largest floppy disk in this picture (8 inch), how does it's floppy drive looks like? How does it fit into the computer?
