Once upon a time , in a land far far away from civilisation there was a boarding school called Kolej Yayasan UEM . There was a group of monkeys invading the chalets . After a few months avoiding the problem , the senior management team decided to exterminate these monkeys for good . At first , the senior management team asked the students to throw away all of the food in and out of the chalet to prevent from attracting the monkeys . However , it did not work so it was clear that the monkeys had a hidden agenda in the chalets . So one day the monkeys had annoyed the Student Council President , Imran so he decided to take matters into his own hands . It is important to note that he had already got an A* for his Single Mathematics and his dream is to become a mathematician . So for over a period of 2 weeks , he studied the behaviour of the monkeys and he soon found out that if he wanted to chase out the monkeys , some of the monkeys would run into the next chalet and it will double , triple and even quadruple . So Imran suggested this formula

Unknowns:  X - Number of Monkeys

                    Y-Number of monkeys chased out

1st Chalet

      =   X – Y

Multiplies by 2

 2nd Chalet

  =  2x-2y-y=2x-3y

Multiplies by 3

 3rd Chalet

  = 6x-9y-y = 6x-10y

Multiplies by 4

 4th Chalet

= 24x-40y-y = 24x-41y

= 24x-41y = 0

= 41/24 = x/y

Therefore : x =41 and y = 24

Imran then checks back his formula

1st Chalet : 41-24=17

2nd Chalet : 2(17)-24=10

3rd Chalet : 3(10)-24=6

4th Chalet : 4(6)-24 = 0

Imran has successfully ousted the monkeys away from KYUEM and this further concretes his presidency post . He went on to finish his A-levels with straight A*

very funny! -.-

The story of the mysterious RAT!!! J

Once upon a time IN ky…yes people in KY…there was a mysterious case of rats…hows the rats came in I don’t know but I do know that (according to Dr Ravi),these rats gave the college a lot of problems..IT IS A TRUE STORY PEOPLE SO PAY ATTENTION!HIHIH…

So basically there was this cat that became the hero of the whole story…its kinda like a tamil film where the hero remarkably whoops the bad guys single handedly…well in this case it’s a cat..

Soooooooooooooooo….What was I saying…ouh yea..the KY students lived in not too bad chalets last time..ok la..we live in a hutan what…what else do you expect?

There were 4 chalets…and Dr ravi told us this formula on how the cat ate all the rats…You see…the stupid cat can only eat x number of cats each time..and the rats….will run off to the chalet next door and they will get naughty and start multiplying…oh god..so yea,HOW did the cat manage to eat all the rats in the end?

I still am a bit confused on what Dr Ravi was writing on the board but I do know there is a confusing formula involved…wait..let me copy from my friend behind me…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

BOOOOYAH!GOT IT J

So the formula is like thisss

1ST Chalet=(x-y)=(x-y)

2ND Chalet ..2(x-y)=2x-2y…then cat comes  so it becomes 2x-3y because according to Shanks (Shangkar)…the cat eats another y…???SO J

41-24=17

2(17)-24=10

3(10)-24=6

4(6)-24=0…………………………………….WOOOLA!

 TERIMA KASIH...

SOLVE THE PUZZLE!

LONG long time ago there was a mysterious case in  KYUEM regarding the number of rats in the chalet. There was only a cat at the chalet at that time and there were lots of food for it as there was no other competitor. The story begins like this. There were four chalets altogether at that time and  there were x rats in the first chalet. The cat came and ate the rats at the chalet but there were still remaining y rats left and the rats ran to the second chalet. The number of rats in the first chalet is now (x-y) rats. The number of y rats became double as days goes on becoming 2(x-y) rats. The cat came again and ate the same number of rats which was y rats. The number of rats then became (2x-3y) rats. The remaining rats ran away to the third chalet and their population increased by three times the number of the previous population becoming (6x-9y) rats. A few days later the cat came again and ate the same number of y rats and the number became (6x-10y) rats. At the fourth chalet, the number of rats increased by four times and there were (24x-40y) rats altogether.A few days later the cat came again and ate y rats. Thus the number of rats became (24x-41y) rats. Try substituting the the x and y rats with any numbers and you’ll be surprise to see that in the end the number of rats left is zero. TRY IT OUT AND GUD luck!! :)
