            Welcome to AS computing class. I am Dr.Ravi your facilitator for this course. This course consists of two modules, theory and practicals. In theory we will have 12 chapters and in practicals we do have programming classes. You will sit for theory and practical exams at the end of the course, which is conducted by CIE.

Dear all,

               For all who have posted their holiday homework, I wish you all the best for a great New year. Those who are yet to submit their task please keep positing. From this week, I let you free and dont worry about your computing until your re-opening. Come to college with a new attitude and make some good decision(s) on the New year and follow them seriously from Jan 1 onwards. From Jan 9th I expect you to have only one vision that is to get A grade for all the subjects. Plan well , have a time plan to read each subject and aim for A's. I will always be with you and take you though this journey.

My dear Block 4 student,

                                         I will be attending a workshop in KL and would not be in Campus for 2 days. As such, I wanted you to spend your time in Block 4 useful. So, I am giving you some work in programming , which I am expecting you to complete it. I know you would switch on the computer and start typing the programe, which is not the best practice. So, I want you to fist right the algorithm and then the corresponding program in the computer.

Now the quesiton,

1) Write a program to find how many numbers are divisible by 3 and 7

2) Trace the following code

Let s = 2

for i = 1 to 3

for j = 1 to s

if  j > i then t = t + j

if j < I then t = t + i

next j

s = i + t

next i

print t,s

3) Write a program to generate the following series

1, 1, 2,,3,5,8,13 , upto 20 terms

(hint: each term is sum of two preceding terms) , that is, 2 = 1 + 1 (previous two terms) and 5 is 3+ 2 ( previous two terms).
