            Welcome to AS computing class. I am Dr.Ravi your facilitator for this course. This course consists of two modules, theory and practicals. In theory we will have 12 chapters and in practicals we do have programming classes. You will sit for theory and practical exams at the end of the course, which is conducted by CIE.

1)      There should be a error check method when the data is transmitted.  Explain any three error checking method of your choice that you feel appropriate while transferring data from one computer to another.

2)      What is the difference between packet switching and circuit switching?

3)      What do you mean by protocol and how the layers are are helpful in a protocol.

4)      Write a program to accept  5 names in a single dimensional array and store the sum of its ascii values in another array and print the total.  Example, if a(1)  is “ABCDE”, then you need to store the ascii values 65+66+67+68+69 = 335 , this should be stored in another array b(1) etc.. and finally all the b(1)+ b(2) should be summed up.  Draw its equivalent Flowchart also.

Please inform to Nadia , Amir and all others who have not submitted their work. I dont know if they are watching this. Hope you inform Nadia and AMIR and Choe in perticular.
